The Kid's Nature Zone or The KNZ Storywalk Trail opened in June 2024 after years of big dreams as a joint project with the Chillicothe & Ross County Library.

This project was made possible through the generous support of the David Meade Massie Trust in partnership with the Chillicothe & Ross County Public Library, Ross County Park District, and Friends of the Library.

Children and adults are invited to let their imaginations run wild with 24 story walk stops along a nearly half-mile trail. On the trail you will also encounter secret nooks and kid-friendly spots to play and explore, like a fairy house and vernal pool detour. The Park District mascot, Ash 🦊 will be with you along the hike to make sure you don’t miss a thing and help keep you on track!

Books featured in this interactive trail will be refreshed seasonally, so be sure to visit the trail often so you don't miss a book!
