Herron-Downs is one of the newest Park District properties with lots to discover! Join Naturalist Ted for an hour of adventure as we explore more of this fascinating wetland and riparian area. With the chance of some awesome guided off-trail hiking! Expect to hike 1.5-2 miles of moderate terrain with possibly light bushwhacking. Note that no dogs are allowed at Herron-Downs, as a sensitive fen restoration is in progress. Dress for inclement weather. Bring water and a snack. Expect Adventure!
