PLEASE READ:
This year, we’re offering a different format to protect our smily friends and provide you with the best experience possible. We will have two Salamander Nights, each capped at 100 participants. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Be courteous and only make reservations you can commit to.
Creeping and crawling up from the mud, the incredible mole salamanders have begun making their way to the pond! We officially invite you to brave the wet and cold and come to Buzzard’s Roost to be part of a miraculous natural event. We will meet in the lower parking lot and hike up the hill together via either the road or the KNZ trail to the pond. The hike is roughly one mile round trip. Dress in layers for cold and rainy weather. Wear waterproof boots and bring a flashlight. Please leave your pets and nets at home. You might also consider plastic bags to carry home muddy shoes and clothes, and a few towels to cover your car seats.
Lastly, please bring only as many people as you registered.
