Tour the New Slate Mills Trail

We’ve Opened a New Trail! 

Join Ranger Bost for the first public tour of the new Slate Mills Trail at Buzzard’s Roost.

The tour will include a portion of the Hoggard trail, the Hoggard family cemetery, ruins of the Hoggard family homestead, ponds, replanted pines, and the Slate Mills hill overlook.

The out-and-back trail is approximately 3 miles and the tour will last 2-3 hours. Tour begins and ends at the main parking lot.
